Understanding the Dance of Relationships
Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 11:06PM Everything in life is made up of energy. Relationships are made from energy. And all energy is comprised of both negative and positive particles. So relationships are no different. In every relationship, there is a taker and a giver, a pursuer and a distancer, an optimist and a pessimist, and so on and so on. In some relationships, these roles are rigid. Each person will assume their roles and maintain them at all cost. In other relationships, the roles are shared. Sometimes one person takes, at other times, he gives. Sometimes one person is optimistic, at other times, pessimistic. Although there really is no right or wrong in the matter, some combinations work better than others. When a taker is with a giver and both parties prefer their assumed roles, the relationship tends to be more stable (some might argue stagnant, but stable nonetheless). When both partners prefer flexibility and demonstrate the ability to do just that, their relationship tends to move through life with more ease.
